The Ringwood Library acquired a grant to document the lives of the Upper Ringwood Indians and contacted Web Developers Studio to make it happen.
Discussions with the Senior Adult Librarian led to the choice of Omeka to house the archive. Web Developers Studio designed a custom look to wrap around the powerful, open source content management engine.
We banged out a simple and coherent four categories to organize the images and artifacts and “tagged” each to allow different organizational views into the collection.
The nice folks at Omeka noted the beautiful result on their site (“If you thought only large urban libraries…”).
The Ringwood Library is also well pleased with their new “Virtual Museum” and commissioned Web Developers Studio to redesign their main library website.
